Gertrude- Queen of Denmark, Hamlet's mother, Claudius wife, Late King Hamlet's widow. In this act Gertrude informs the deaths of Polonius and Ophelia.
Claudius- Dead King Hamlet's brother, Gertrudes's husband, King of Denmark. In this act Claudius sends Hamlet to England and tells the English King to kill Hamlet as a duty owned by the right of conquest sided with Laertes and makes the plan to make Laertes and Hamlet duel and Laertes sword is poisoned and if that does not work Claudius will use poisoned wine.
Hamlet- Prince of Denmark, Late King Hamlet's son, Gertrudes's son, Claudius nephew. In this act Hamlet hides Polonius body, goes to England but on the way his ship is attacked by a pirate ship and Hamlet boards the ship and warns Claudius of his imminent return to Denamrk.
Rosencratz and Guildenstrin- Classmates of Hamlet in Wittenberg. In this act Claudius send them to ask Hamlet where he put the body of Polonius and to accompany Hamlet to England.
Fortinbras- Prince of Norway. In the act Fortinbras appears with an army and sends one of his captain to go to the king and ask for permission to pass through Denmark to go to Poland.
Ophelia- Polonius daughter, Laertes sister, Hamlet is in love with her. In this act Ophelia becomes mad because of her father death and commits suicide.
Laertes- Polonius son, Ophelia brother. Laertes was a student in Paris and returns to Denmark in this act because of his father's murder.
Horatio- Hamlet loyal best friend. In this act Hamlet sends various letters and one for him saying to deliver the letters to their rightful destination one being to king Claudius himself.
